Candan practices predominantly in insurance law and general commercial litigation. He advises clients in matters across Australia and he appears regularly in various courts and tribunals in all jurisdictions.
Candan has extensive litigation experience advising clients from insurance companies, businesses and non-profit organisations.
Candan is recognised as a problem solver by colleagues and clients. He is experienced in contract disputes, commercial disputes, debt recovery, fraud, litigation, business law, property law and insurance law issues.
In addition to his responsibilities at MCK Lawyers, Candan also provides pro bono advice and legal services to various charities and associations.
Candan is fluent in spoken and written Turkish and advises the Turkish Government and private Turkish businesses on their transactions in Australia.

Ozenc is a Solicitor Director of MCK Lawyers. In addition to his degrees in Law and Commerce, Ozenc holds a Graduate Diploma in insolvency law.
Ozenc is an experienced advocate who appears regularly in the Local, District, Supreme and Federal Magistrates Courts. Over the past sixteen years Ozenc has practiced predominantly in insurance litigation, insolvency law and business and commercial law. He also has experience in managing large product liability matters, commercial leasing and franchising.
Alongside his insurance and insolvency practice, Ozenc continues to work closely with the firm’s small to medium business and franchisor clients by providing business and debt recovery advice, conducting commercial litigation and advising on commercial and property transactions.
Ozenc speaks and writes fluent Turkish.

Maddison is a Senior Associate at MCK Lawyers.
Maddison joined the firm as a law student and, after working as a law clerk for more than two years, was admitted as a solicitor in 2017.
Maddison predominantly works with insurer and commercial clients and provides advice in property damage, insurance law, debt recovery and contract dispute matters in NSW, QLD and VIC.
Maddison is a diligent and convincing advocate and appears as a solicitor advocate regularly in the firm's matters in various jurisdictions.

Patrice graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2020. In addition to her Bachelor of Laws, Patrice holds a Bachelor of Arts and Business with a Politics major.
Having joined the firm in 2017 as a law clerk, Patrice quickly became known amongst the firm and our clients for her research and investigative skills. Her inquisitive nature drives her to uncover facts that lie beneath the surface. Patrice has gained valuable experience working in a wide range of our insurance and commercial law matters, including matters on appeal under the supervision of Candan and Ozenc.
